When I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer, stage 4, I thought my life was miserable. I felt rejected as a person and living with feelings of guilt and shame. There always time I blamed my husband and my children for all the heartache and all the negative things that happened to me. One morning, I shouted. I threw the chairs, the medicines and even able to broke the door in our kitchen and kept shouting my children and don’t even care what our neighbours saying because I believe I don’t deserve this sickness.
It was one morning when I woke up, I opened my Bible in Psalm 119:57-58 “The Lord is my portion, I have promised to keep Your Words. I sought your favor with all my heart; be gracious to me according to Your Words.” I asked what kind of favor, Lord? Well…favor to live…Yes, it is His promised that I’m to live and not die..I will declare the works of the Lord (Psalm 118:17) And yet, I’m still alive! Yes, I have a healthy and happy family and favor …to see God’s goodness. And favor to heal me. I believe God has a divine purpose for every challenge that comes into my life.
Life is truly wonderful!Having a christian friends and one of them I do not know personally but voluntarily offered to helped me for me to avail of my chemotherapy treatment. What else can I ask for? Thanks to Pastor Philip Flores, Tita Myrna, Tita Lily and her family who supported me prayerfully and financially. I also thank God to my husband, CRIS and my children-Shen, KH and Jem who always understand my shortcomings and loyal to me. I thank God to the COCD family, my real and reel family who continually supported and prayed for me. Thanks to my twin sister, Mayette, who always taking care of me everytime I confined in the hospital. Thanksto my all friends especially to my best friend…Doyee Loteria for touching my life.
I thank God I have a favor, favor to heal me. Now, I started to get a new image in my mind. I start believing Him for more good things in my life. I know He has a purpose and a plan for me, for keeping me changing my life, for making better, more like Him.
It shall be done according to your faith. Matthew 9:29. I believe God will heal me. No matter what comes against me, I believe He can help me to live in health and victory. I believe in Him and will trust Him completely.
I will praise Him now and forever for all the things He has done for me! Thanks God for His favor!
